Why Second Spring?
I know what it feels like when menopause turns your world upside down.
Seven years ago, my symptoms were — as I like to say — wild. I was juggling a demanding career, raising young children, and completely ignoring my own needs. I was exhausted, irritable, and angry over the smallest things. Surges of meno-rage that I couldn't control. I lost my job. I nearly lost my family.
What I didn't realise at the time was that I was also entering perimenopause.
A life-threatening health scare with my thyroid finally stopped me in my tracks. It pushed me back to yoga — a deeper, more restorative practice than I'd tried before — and it changed everything.
With each breath and each practice, I began to feel calmer, stronger and more like myself again. The symptoms didn't disappear overnight — yoga isn't a switch you can flick. But practiced consistently, week in and week out, it worked. Genuinely, measurably worked.
The science caught up with what I was living.
We now have published research showing that just 2 hours of yoga a week can reduce menopause symptoms by up to 60%. Better sleep. Less anxiety. Clearer thinking. Fewer hot flushes. Improved mood and energy.
That research confirmed what I had already experienced firsthand — and it became the foundation for everything I now teach.
Two hours a week. Practiced consistently. That's the number that makes the difference.

Why I created Second Spring
I spent years searching for real support during my menopause journey and finding very little that was practical, science-backed and genuinely compassionate. I didn't want other women to feel as alone as I did.
So I created Second Spring — a yoga for menopause program built entirely around that magical two hours a week. Not a generic yoga class. Not a one-size-fits-all wellness program. A carefully designed practice, informed by both academic research and a decade of teaching women through this exact transition.
Every practice in Second Spring is symptom-specific. Every session is designed to calm your nervous system, ease your symptoms, and help you feel more like yourself again.
Who I am
I'm Dr. Daniella Goldberg, PhD — a yoga instructor, women's health advocate and menopause coach with over a decade of experience specialising in yoga for women navigating perimenopause and menopause.
My academic background gives me a deep understanding of the science behind what yoga does to the body and nervous system during hormonal transition. But it's my own lived experience of menopause — the messy, difficult, transformative reality of it — that shapes how I teach.
I combine evidence-based practice with genuine compassion. I know what it's like to be in the thick of it. And I know what it feels like to come out the other side.
This is your Second Spring. I'd love to help you find it.
